Here are basic summary & link on how to access your website for analytics & management!
Your website has a minimum of 3 different layers of access
- Domain Registrar
This is how you control your domain. This is often through companies like Godaddy, Namecheap, Bluehost, Google/Squarespace Domain & etc. As long as you pay annual fee, you are licensing domain registration so that you can control the domain for your website,
- Hosting / Server
This is the PC / hardware from which your website loads. You may be using Godaddy, Bluehost & other companies. Sometimes you have full access to a cPanel, or sometimes, you have a smaller control panel. Or if you have full management as you do with WebVillage Marketing, we typically do not provide direct access to the server as you do not need it to manage your website. (& we're handling all back-end optimization, tweaks, backups & updates)
- Website (WordPress)
If you're on WordPress, you typically log into your website by adding /wp-admin after your domain name. ADMIN access here means you can change, update, and modify your website including breaking your website... Typically, we provide you with EDITOR access which means you can edit all contents but typically cannot break the website by mistake.
For analytics & other marketing tracking, your website & business account, you typically have:
- Google Analytics | https://analytics.google.com/
This program tracks your website traffic, user behaviors & all the details.
- Google Search Console | https://search.google.com/search-console/
This program tracks how people search things on Google in relation to your website.
- Google My Business (GMB) | https://business.google.com/
Famous GMB, use to manage your Google My Business listings!
